Economic Evaluation of Healthcare Technologies

This advanced 5-day course is designed for health economists, policymakers, researchers, and healthcare professionals involved in assessing and selecting healthcare technologies and interventions. Participants will gain practical knowledge and analytical skills to conduct economic evaluations—including cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, and cost-benefit analyses—to inform evidence-based policy, investment decisions, and health technology assessments (HTAs).

Using real-world examples, participants will learn how to apply health economic methods to pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, and digital health innovations. The course also covers the ethical, methodological, and policy challenges in resource-limited settings and universal health coverage initiatives
