About the course
Crisis communication is a sub-speciality of Public Relations whose purpose is to positively reflect and protect the reputation of the organisation. Without skilful management, crises can damage brand image and in extreme cases the very survival of the business.
This highly practical and interactive course will develop delegates' knowledge and skills in anticipating, preparing for and handling crises. During the course they will learn which communication strategy works best in which context, how to quickly assemble and train a crisis team, who needs to know what and when, how best to craft their messages and which media channels to choose.
Towards the end of the course delegates put their new knowledge and skills into practice by developing a crisis communications strategy and action plan based on a scenario relevant to them.
