  • The role of inspection and statistical process control (SPC).

Day 3: Process Strategy

  • Identifying and applying four key process strategies.
  • Conducting process analysis and design for efficiency.

  • Selecting equipment and technology to support operations.
  • Managing production technology and capacity planning.
  • Exploring the concept of process reengineering.

Day 4: Inventory Management and Aggregate Planning

  • Exploring the nature and strategies for aggregate planning.
  • Methods for effective aggregate planning in manufacturing and service industries.

Day 5: Material Requirements Planning, Lean, Six Sigma, and Decision-Making Tools

  • Managing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and lot-sizing techniques.
  • Exploring the extension of MRP and its application in service industries.
  • Understanding Distribution Resource Planning (DRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • Introduction to Lean Six Sigma and the DMAIC process.
  • Using decision-making tools such as decision tables and trees.
