About the course
Crowds behave in ways that are well understood, and leaders who understand them keep people safe. This five-day programme equips senior public-safety leaders to plan for, lead and assure crowd safety at major events. It introduces the science of crowd dynamics (density, flow, movement and behaviour) before moving into the leadership task: risk assessment, safe capacity, ingress and egress design, and the command decisions that prevent a crowd becoming a crisis.
Drawing on international good practice and hard lessons from events that went wrong, it prepares leaders to protect the public while delivering a successful event. Delivered over five days, the course carries 20 CPD hours and is available as a classroom or in-house programme.
