About the course
Public safety at scale is a strategic leadership challenge before it is an operational one. This five-day flagship programme develops the senior leader who must set direction, plan for major events, decide in a crisis, hold the ethical line and carry the confidence of ministers, partners and the public, often all at once. It draws together the strategic threads that run through effective public safety: legitimacy and ethics, strategic command and event planning, decision-making under pressure, and stakeholder influence.
Grounded in senior command experience and international good practice, it prepares leaders to work at strategic level and to lead a public-safety system, not just a single operation. It stands alone as a senior programme and underpins the more specialist courses in the Major-Events Public-Safety Leadership suite.
Delivered over five days, the course carries 20 CPD hours and is available as a classroom or in-house programme.
