Course Overview

The aim of this course is to provide knowledge and operative tools on financial and economic evaluation of suppliers/contractors. Starting from a general framework on relationships with suppliers the module will go in depth in analysing balance sheet information in order to understand economic and financial supplier profile. Models for evaluating the complementary competitive supplier profile will be provided too. Participants will continuously be involved with cases and simulations.

Fund flow statement preparation and reclassification
Analysing cash movements and fund allocation
Understanding the impact of financial activities on supplier performance

Day 4: Balance Sheet Reclassification and Ratio Analysis

Balance sheet reclassification for financial clarity
Ratio analysis for evaluating supplier health
Liquidity and cash flow indicators assessment
Profitability and other key financial indicators

Day 5: Consolidated Balance Sheets and Vendor Rating

Analysing consolidated balance sheets for group-level evaluation
Supplier evaluation procedures and frameworks
Developing and implementing vendor rating systems
Making informed decisions based on financial and economic assessments
