Pollution Control and Environmental Inspection

As concern grows for continually improving the quality of the environment, organizations of all types and sizes are increasingly turning their attention to the environmental impacts of their activities, products and services. The environmental performance of an organization is of importance to internal and external interested parties. Achieving sound environmental performance requires organizational commitment to a systematic planning process and, to continual improvement of it.

The purpose of this program is to provide delegates with the opportunity of gaining the skills and knowledge to develop implement and/or improve an Environmental planning and pollution control process effectively.

By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

• Understand the different types of environmental aspects and their environmental impacts. 
• Understand the requirements of the environmental management standard ISO 14001:2004. 
• Develop and implement an environmental planning process effectively. 
• Prepare a plan for controlling pollution effectively.
• Identify all the waste stream types and, the opportunities for recycling of waste. 
• Better understand the nature of environmental aspects and the associated impacts within the organization's operational activities. 
• Understand the purpose and role of the international standard for environmental management ISO 14001:2004 and pollution control.
