In today’s fast-paced, high-pressure environments, emotional intelligence alone is not enough, leaders must understand emotions themselves: what they are, how they arise, and how they shape perception, trust, and collaboration.

 

Leading with Emotional Presence is a practical and reflective program designed to help leaders connect head, heart, and body. It offers an accessible, research-based approach to understanding and working with emotions as powerful sources of insight, energy, and connection.

 

Through a blend of neuroscience, psychology, and experiential learning, participants will discover how emotions influence behavior and decision-making, how to regulate and express emotions authentically, and how to lead with empathy and grounded presence, even under pressure.

 

Each session combines conceptual input, embodiment practices, reflection, and peer dialogue. Participants will leave with actionable tools and personal strategies to navigate emotional dynamics with confidence and clarity, in themselves, their teams, and their organizations.
 

Note: This course is also available for delivery in Spanish, upon request.

 

Objective:

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand why humans are emotional beings and how emotions drive perception, trust, and decision-making.
  • Recognize their own emotional patterns and how these influence leadership behavior and relationships.

  • Apply emotional literacy and regulation strategies to create healthier conversations, stronger collaboration, and more grounded leadership.

  • Practicing grounding and centering for emotional regulation
  • Building body-based awareness to support composure and clarity

 

Day 3: Emotional Self-Awareness and Expression

  • Developing an emotional vocabulary for greater clarity and self-knowledge
  • Distinguishing between primary and secondary emotions
  • Recognizing emotional triggers and patterns in communication
  • Practicing emotional ownership and healthy expression
  • Connecting self-awareness to authentic leadership behavior

 

Day 4: Emotions in Relationships and Teams

  • Exploring the social and collective nature of emotions in teams
  • Understanding empathy, emotional contagion, and trust
  • Recognizing emotional cues in others and responding effectively
  • Reflecting on how emotions shape collaboration and team dynamics
  • Applying emotionally attuned communication in leadership interactions

 

Day 5: Emotional Mastery and Integration

  • Integrating emotional awareness into daily leadership practice
  • Understanding the emotional regulation continuum: suppression to integration
  • Applying reframing and choice techniques for emotional resilience
  • Reflecting on personal growth and leadership impact
  • Creating micro-rituals and action plans to sustain emotional presence
