Financial CGE Modelling

The Financial CGE Modelling course provides participants with a structured understanding of Computable General Equilibrium modelling and its application to financial, fiscal and economic policy analysis. The course focuses on how CGE models are used to assess the impact of policy changes, economic shocks, taxation, public spending, trade, investment, financial flows and sector-level changes across an economy.

Participants will explore the foundations of CGE modelling, including economic agents, markets, equilibrium conditions, behavioural equations, data structures and calibration. The course also introduces the financial dimensions of CGE models, including capital markets, savings, investment, government finance, external accounts and macroeconomic closure rules.
