1. Purpose of this Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the standards that apply when using the London Training for Excellence website, online systems and digital services.

It forms part of our Conditions of Website Use.

By using our website or systems, you must comply with this Policy.

2. Lawful Use

You must use our website and systems lawfully.

facilitates unlawful activity;
is fraudulent or misleading;
infringes third-party rights;
compromises security;

interferes unreasonably with another user’s use.

intercept communications;

deliberately overload our infrastructure;

exploit errors or vulnerabilities;
access administrative functions you are not authorised to use; or
assist another person in doing any of these things.

If you discover a genuine security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to us rather than attempting to exploit it.

4. Automated Access and Data Harvesting

Unless expressly authorised by us, you must not use bots, scripts, crawlers, automated agents or similar technologies to:

systematically scrape our website;
harvest course or pricing information at unreasonable volume;
collect contact details;
mass-download content;
submit automated enquiries;
generate fraudulent leads;
interfere with forms;
circumvent rate limits;
bypass bot-protection technology;
create copies of our course database;
build competing commercial datasets; or
place unreasonable demand on our systems.

Legitimate search-engine indexing undertaken in accordance with our published technical instructions is permitted.

Nothing in this Policy prevents activity expressly permitted by law where contractual restriction is not legally permitted.

5. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

Unless we have given prior written permission, you must not systematically use our proprietary:

training materials;
course descriptions;
manuals;
publications;
course databases; or
other protected content

to train, fine-tune, evaluate or construct commercial artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, competing training products or commercial datasets.

This restriction does not apply where applicable law expressly provides a right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

6. Fraudulent and Abusive Activity

You must not:

submit false or fabricated enquiries;
impersonate another person or organisation;
provide deliberately misleading information;
make fraudulent bookings;
misuse payment systems;
manipulate referral or promotional arrangements;
interfere with other Customers’ bookings;
abuse refunds or charge processes dishonestly;
circumvent geographical, pricing or eligibility controls fraudulently; or
use our Services for money laundering or other financial crime.

7. Communications and Spam

You must not use our systems to:

send unsolicited bulk communications;
distribute spam;
transmit malicious links;
conduct phishing;
harvest email addresses;
send threatening or abusive communications; or
interfere with our legitimate communications with Customers and Delegates.

8. Content Submitted to Us

Where you submit content through our website or Services, it must be:

lawful;
accurate where presented as fact;
genuinely held where expressed as opinion; and
appropriate for the relevant purpose.

Content must not:

be defamatory;
be threatening or abusive;
promote unlawful violence;
unlawfully discriminate;
infringe copyright, trade marks or other intellectual-property rights;
unlawfully disclose personal or confidential information;
impersonate another person;
deceive users as to its origin;
contain malware; or
encourage criminal conduct.

9. Intellectual Property

You must not use our website or Services to unlawfully copy, reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit intellectual property belonging to LTFE or another person.

Permission to access content does not grant ownership of that content.

10. Training and Online Sessions

When participating in online training or using training systems, you must not:

share private meeting links or access credentials with unauthorised persons;
record sessions without permission;
livestream training;
reproduce course content commercially;
deliberately disrupt sessions;
harass trainers or other Delegates;
access another Delegate’s account; or
attempt to bypass restrictions applied to course materials.

11. Enforcement

If we reasonably believe this Policy has been breached, we may take proportionate action, including:

issuing a warning;
removing content;
restricting functionality;
blocking an IP address or account;
suspending access;
terminating access;
removing a Delegate from a Service;
preserving relevant evidence;
taking legal action; or
reporting suspected unlawful conduct to competent authorities.

The action taken will depend on the nature and seriousness of the conduct.

12. Investigations

Where reasonably necessary to protect our rights, systems, Customers or personnel, we may investigate suspected misuse and preserve relevant technical records.

We may cooperate with courts, regulators, law-enforcement authorities and other competent bodies where required or permitted by law.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect:

changes to our website;
new security risks;
changes in technology;
legal requirements; or
changes to our Services.

The version applying to website use will be the version in force when the relevant use occurs.
